Anniversary

I am teaching some celebrations of new year around the world~
also show some firework video too~
WOW! I really need to celebrate it!
It's the 100th ariticle of this blog!!!
I started to write it in the end of 2007 so the history of this blog is more than 2 years la!
But tomorrow will also be the anniversary of my school here!
There will be a sports meet holding for two days.
And I will also celebrate with other teachers here later!
It will be an special experience for me I think~
One teacher has already prepared the fireworks for the countdown!
I am planing to play the "bartender game."
That means everyone needs to slide a glass of bear from one side of the table to the other side.
And there will be a limited zone to be the winner.
If you push too hard or too light, you will lose anyway.
I think most of my friends made in Germany knows this game~
We played that in the X'mas of 2007.
I still remember every is so crazy about it!
Hope those teachers here will also get rid of their dignity~
Release the animal living in their mind!!! :)

Mm~
Still got one thing to share!
I just came across a really dangerous thing one hour ago!

Our fellow worker who just get drunk in the afternoon.
Base on what he said, he told me he presented Dili to drink with some visitors.
Well~ maybe he got his reasons, but he was so damn crazy!
You can see the photo below!
We tightened those flag on the top of the building!
But it loosed~
He insisted to make it better when he was still dizzy....
He asked few kids to help him on the top of the building!
You know what! The wall is only 30 cm.
Everyone will really fall down from the top.
I was hanging around with some teachers in the office.
Group of kids rushed into the room and screamed to tell that the fellow worker need help!
I got no choice but bring the hammer and nails to climb the top of the building.
It was still raining!
I am so worried those kids who will fall down!
I shouted them to go downstair!
The situation was worse than I think!
I want to pull the fellow worker to go inside!
Acturally we can do it tomorrow!
He sitll murmur that things need to be done TODAY!
I got no choice to keep help him!
You know how hard it is?
My palms are all getting abrasion in the end....
I didn't know where did I come those brave...
I took a hot shower later on and keep think about that!

I believe it is because I worried those kids will get hurt if I didn't replace them to help the worker.
Ha! I didn't mean to show off somethings~
But I think I really have some characteristics of teacher~
Maybe!
:)

And Happy new year~
Wish you all have a TERRIFIC 2010!

Still remember how remarkable of the fireworks in the Sydney Harbor~ XD

Australia

I was back in Taiwan for more than 3 weeks.
The new but last semester also starts.
I am trying to modify the steps to fit the living temple in Taiwan.

Yesterday, I met with two friends who just came back from the working holiday program in Australia.
One of them will go back to start her second year next Tuesday.
Another friend also thinks to go back to Darwin where is a hotel willing her to go back to work.
However, in that way, she will need to sign a contract. (working visa)
Then, she would need to work there for 4 years in the same place.
If she really decides to go there, we all believe that she will live there forever.

I really think it is a huge dilemma.
The economic in Taiwan is really really bad.
She wants to take this chance earning more money in Australia.
I really don't know what kind of decision she should make.

Recently I sometimes can't fall into sleep at night.
Too many thoughts are just like rocks on my heart.
I am willing to figure out what I will do in the future.
Some friends say it is too early for me, and they said I still need to join the army for one year.
In my opinion, I disagree with that.
If I did choose something to do, I can take this one and half year working on it.
To prepare some more activities for that will be the main subject I can do now.
The question is, which kind of job will be suitable for me?
I really hope I don't need to do the decision now.
But the day will come, I will have no choice but fact it.
I signed up for the Spanish and Japanese class this semester.
I would give myself a chance to make this two language become fresh again.
(Maybe it is never so clear in my head.. a mess ?!)
What can I do?
Just keep walking!
Hope all of my friends who are in similar age, who will have a clear and peace mind to find the answer out.

Australia~ bye bye!

Oh... I really leave that place.
I always think it will be much easier to say good bye to Australia than to Germany.
It seems that the fact is not like that.

Thanks for my university friend to introduce me all of her Machi (best friend) here.
Some of them also become my best friends.
Besides that, the only semester in La Trobe also let make few good friends there too.
In the past two months, most of my life all hang out with those guys.
It really changed a lot of things.

I will not use other countries to compare with Australia, becoz Australia is Australia.
There will be no place being able to replace the amazing and vivid place.

Anyway, I left Australia and arrived Singapore now.
Later I will visit one friend downtown.
Then, preparing to face the real life in Taiwan, everything will be a new challenge I think.
Good Luck, Andreas!

I will upload more fireworks picture when I go back to Melbourne!!!

We just watched the firework in this sight~
(Those pictures are in another camera... I forgot to bring the connecting stuff)
Gold coast~ sooo beautiful!!!

Firework! New year's coming

This is it!!
Last year in Venice, I made a wish which said that I want to be in Sydney celebrating my new year with friends.
I did it!! Although it is really a mission impossible for me~

I left gold coast after the surfing class at 14:00 on 30th Jan.
After two and half hours bus, I arrive a small town called Casino.
I didn't go to the casino but take the train directly.
I spent another 12 hours on the train to Sydney.
Just can't imagine how noisy the train is.....
I can't sleep at all~ specially I am sitting on the chair....
At 7:15 am of 31th of Jan., I arrived Sydney.
Can I go to sleep?

No! Of course~ Because I need to wait in line into the best sightseeing place....
After putting my luggage in friend's house, we start to go there.
It is not so far, but maybe I was too tired then, I felt sooooo far...
And when we arrived there at 8:45am.
There are already so many ppl waiting there.....
That start my waiting life....
As you know, the sunshine become bigger and stronger.
Some of western ppl start to do some baths on the grass.
But it is too hot, and the waiting line getting shorter quite slow.
We just felt that we will faint in any minutes...
At 11:45, we finally enter that restricted region.
Damn French speaking old bitches cut in line...
I asked other French friends to blame on them~
They just moved to out back in the end~

After we walked for another 10 mins to the point near the port, there are already full of ppl there.
We barely got a place to stay together....
Anyway, the rest of time before 9 pm, we just waited or played cards.
It was really hot in the afternoon.
Everybody seems to become more tired than ever....
Anyway, there is a small firework at 9pm.
Some friends said it is for those kids who can't see the late fireworks.
But I didn't see anyone leave after 9pm.
The 9pm one was really normal, I think the national firework in Taiwan is much better than this one.
We tried our best to get in a special region to get the best sightseeing in front of the port.
11:30 pm , 11:45pm, there are two small firework show then~
It started to make us become so excited and anxious~
The time is coming~
Fantastic and fabulous firework start to show up from the bridge and the port, even the tall buildings in the city.
Don't know how to describe how touch in that moment.
Some people just silenced and some are screaming.
Most of them were just taking photos.
Ha~ Quite interesting!

The fireworks last for 13 minutes.
It will be one of the most remarkable 13 mins in my life too.

After the firework, I can't sleep.
My firend's place is already full of people, two friends were my company to stay in KFC til my plane.
But there are too many crazy guys screaming all the time there.
We moved to the aisle out of their apartment.
We just can't stay awake.
And we locked us in the stair for one hour.
Acturally I didn't remember the detail more, I just felt I am dying then.

At 5:30am, I left to the airport to catch the plane at 8:10am to go to Tasmania.
I will do the Helper Exchange there and some travel there.
How stupid I am, I overslept on the train and I just passed the domestic terminal station XD.
Thank \god I left city earlier, I still catch the flight safely.
It may be the time I took plane and didn't feel afraid at all.
I was sleeping as I sat on the chair.

Now I am in Tasmania.
The first host family is quite nice.
I had enough sleep now....
Too old to stay overnight outside, and specially for the coming two days.
Ha~
I missed Melbourne so much!!!
Oh...
still have 20 days to go!
Ha~

27.12.08

Brisbane~

Oh~ my~
After 8 hours train, I finally arrive the three biggest city in Australia.
Well~
Not exactely!
The train has some problem (I still don't know what happend until now...) causing that we need to take a train from a town which is 100 kms far from Brisbane~
Well~
Still so happy to arrive some place which has more people than wallabies and kangaroos.
I don't need to wake up at 5:30am and clean their shit in the early morning.
I don't need to worry about being kicked by them.
Damn...
How come?
I feld a lilttle bit missed that life....
Animals are really straight...
They always present the real mood of them to you~
It seems not bad indeed.

Moreover, I has stomach(belly I mean) ache now.
Does it mean that I have to stay in countryside to keep me healthy?
Ha! Ha!
I hope not~
But I am really happy I stayed there for 15days in the end.
I made it!!!
Tomorrow I will go to Gold Coast~
Taking some fruits picture and learning surfing there will be the two main goals there!!!

Oh~
I almost forgot to describe Brisbane~
It has the feeling of Darling Harbor in Sydney and the relaxing of Melbourbe.
And it has really great temperature!
I like here~
It will be a good place to stay~
Ha~ I still like Melbourne more~
It still be my Australian home~
It will be like that forever I think!

Merry X'mas and happy new year~ everybody :D

16.12.08

I am the babysitter of wallaby

Ha~
That's right!
I am in Queensland now.
Cleaning the shit of wallaby and feed some animals are the main jobs here for me.
I met lots of cool animals here.
For example, the CUTEST animal - WOMBAT or some other local animals here I can contact them everyday.
It's a little bit pitty that I can't share with you guys those photos now.

My daily life is quite exciting!
I need to wake up at 5 am and go to bed at 11 pm.
To clean the wallaby's pu for 2 or 3 hours, then I can take a rest.
The main activity in this farm is taking care one kind of wallaby (small kangaroo) which are only left 300.
We pick up the pu is keeping them healthy.
There are many bad stuffs in their shit.
We need to do our best avoid them eating it.
Most of our job is about the shit.
I can't get rid of the smell from my hand now....
XD

I also took so many funny pictures!!!
I would like to share with you guys asap.

Oh... I still need to stay here til 12/26.
It is really hard.
But it's a remarkable experience for me~ it is no doubt!
Let's see~

9.12.08

Uluru

The elementary school students in Alice Srings~
They kept saying "Konigiwa" to me~
The paints out of shopping mall in Alice Springs

The cute Kangaroo begging for food
Damn hot there! 42 degrees
All of us needed to carry 2 bottles of 2 Liter water, then visited the park
The guide asked us to write our name and cuntry on the windows.
I draw bubble tea (珍珠奶茶) too XD
Somebody asked me why don't I carry the Uluru~
Check this strange China-Chinese translation!
Dare you climb it~ ha ha !
Kata-Tjura
It means many heads.
Acturally I like here more than Uluru!

I kissed Uluru!
I finally did it~~ ha ha ha
Uluru (before the sunset)
Urulu (early morning)
Waiting cage on Urulu
Aboriginal kids need to wait here before some ceremony begings.
Taiwanese drama also filmed in Urulu XD
(but F4 are girls~)
I traveled there for 8 days.
It is quite different to sleep under the stars as in Egypt.
Both of them are quite special~
I will bring more anti-bugs spray with me next time!!!
The color of Uluru really changes all the time~
But I hope there will be no flies to bother us ALL The TIME.
Ha~
Ok~ babysiter of Wallaby~ got to go...

9 1 1 - Great-Australian-Run

Yesterday is really exciting and stunned!!!
Very "Smart" and "hard-working" Australian tried to make some constructions on the rails.
If I need to go to the city, I need to take train -> bus -> train -> Tram.
_
Originally I only need to consume 45 mins to arrive my destination, however, it took me 2 hours in the end.
Wehn I stayed on the train, I really want to call 911 to take me to there.
But I think it is not a 'univted examination(聯考),' there should be no body tries to help me.
I have to participate the running activity!
The running started from 08:30 am.
When I arrived there, it has already passed 9am.
_
I tried to ask the attendants to ask whether I can join it or not.
Some of them said 'maybe not,' but some of them said 'you may try it.'
So I decided, I will run no matter what.
And the starting time of me is 9:11 am.
I sticked the national flag on my back.
_
After the running~ I still can stand up~
It reminded me I have to finish it indeed.
In the first 5 kilometers, there is nobody there, but some of workers who tried to collect the fence on the road.
Those roads will reopen to public after all.
Most of them are really kind, they encourage to catch the leading team~
Although one man said, it is around 5 kms before me..... XD
_
It is really joyable to run in the main road of Melbourne.
Beautiful sights seeing also made the trip not so hard.
There are many tourists also tried to take photo on us, specially Asian tourists.
It is quite interesting for me.
In order to show out the best images on someone's camera.
As someone took up his camera, I will pretend my legs are lighter and my breathe is just fine as well.
So stupid I know, but I just can't stop doing it.
_
My fellows
Thanks to my cheer leader team grouped by Cindy, Yeetoe, Bianca, and Yuhei.
They also waked up so early for me.
Ha~
They promised me to take me some photos when I ran to 5kms and 8 kms.
It also gave me some hope to attend there.
However, I disappointed at all.
For the last three kilometers, my legs started to become a little bit pain.
I thought it is because I didn't run so long in my life.
(I am a lazy apprentice...)
_
I told myself, if they didn't appear in the final point, I will cry.
The last one kilometer is so far~
I even doubted the orginizer made a joke on us.
It is farer than I thought!
Thank god!
They are there, I waved my hand and yelling to them~
I even jumped to cross the final line!
Yes, I made it.
I got my medal and T-shirt.
Moreover, I also help some people. (Charity running)
_
Ugly Medal~ But it is my first one of running activity~
The grade is 1 hour 27 minutes for 15 kms.
It is just like what I estimated.
I started to think maybe I should keep practicing to participate the half marathon (21kms) in the future.
_
I am really tired now~
But I have to prepare for the coming Alice Spings tour tomorrow~
God!
Hope I will not faint in the dessert.

A U S T R A L I A

Australia - movie poster
Last Saturday I went to see the movie, AUSTRALIA.
It is quite impressive!
Specially the director is Baz Luhrmann who filmed "Moulin Rouge!" few years ago.
He is an Australian, and the movie starred by Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman who are Australia too.
It attracted the attention from the government of Australia.
They invest lots of money on marketing this movie, and the country, at the same time.

Just take a look of the TV commercial also directed by the director:

I really hope there is similar quality works coming out from Taiwan too.
It will be no doubt there will be more and more tourists visiting our country.

Nullah
Ok~
Maybe you noticed there is a kid appearing in the AD and the movie.
And maybe you also feel confused whether the kid is a girl or a boy.
Ha~ Acturally it is 'he.'
But he is the mix of white and black.
That makes him be more convinceable to present the "race" idea. His magical power also let me feel strong now.

The story is really not so special, but it is still a good one.
I will recommand you to go to see it anyway.
I thought it is a good idea to see this movie before I go to outback.
For now, I have a clearer idea what I will see there.
On the other hand, I also had a better understanding of the aboriginal people here.

Hey~ there are more than 10 aboriginal tribes in Taiwan.
We also have many significant natural and culture.
I can see the potential to make a magnificant masterpiece from Taiwan.
Let's see~

29.11.08

Great Australian Run

There is only less than 10 hours.... to the running activity. @@"
I am kindly ready... or not?
Well~ I never ran 15 kms at one time before.
How dare I go to run this one?

I don't know acturally!
Cross fingers to pray for me la!

I hope I will have a great time tmr!!
That is the most important thing~ right?

I will update all the information after the running!
If you are in Australia tmr, pls turn to Channel 10, there is a live show about the activity~
Got to sleep la~

23.11.08

MY TRAVEL PLAN

Since 11/16, I am free acturally.
As I mentioned before, I went to visit some places around Victoria.
And for the coming vacation, I will have more intensive plan~
I hope I can handle them all smoothly~ :P
.
1. 11/30 - Great Australian Run
It is a charity activity~
All participatants will run in the Melbourne city for 15 kms.
It is a little bit expensive, and it costs me 70 AUD, around 1500 NTD.
I always want to do it since I stayed in Germany.
Although it is not so hard for some friends who always join the Marathon(42 kms) and hal-Marathon (21kms).
But I need to wake up really early and start to run on 8:30 am.
Oh my god... It is really tough for me...
I hope I will not fall into sleep when I run on the road!
.
2. 12/2~12/9 Alice Springs (Urulu)
I will fly to there after the running~
I hope I will not dry there... XD
I did worry about it la!
But outback always be my favorite sites in the world.
I think I will have a good experience there~
It's so exciting! I will sleep in the dessert under the stars again.
However, I also heard there are some scorpions in the dessert.
I hope they know that I am not delicious for them. = =
.
3. 12/11~12/26 Volunteer - taking care wallabies (Mid of Queensland) Australia is really a smart country.
They know there are many youngers who want to become a volunteer.
So it is really expensive to be a "volunteer" in Australia.
Please do not ask me how much I will be compensated from the oraganization.
I will only need to pay 20 AUD per day for the accomodation and food.
I really think it is a good deal~
Hope I will have a great X'mas with those animals....
It will be a really special experience I think XD
.
4. 12/26~12/31 Bridbane and Queensland
Hey~ I finally can visit the capital of the sunshine state - Queensland.
After the baby Sitter of wallaby, I will go south from Rockhampton to Brisbane.
Then, stay there for 4 days to enjoy the sunshine there~
I hope the flood which will not affect my plan....
It sounds quite serious recently in Australia.
.
5. 12/31~1/1/2009 Sydney
Last year, I remember I made a wish in Venice with Mary and Bredan.
I said I hope to wait for the new year in Sydney in the end of 2008.
It seems the dream will come true if everything goes well. :)
Maybe I should start to think the wish for the next year.
.
And I will take the Greyhaund in the midnoon on 12/30 from Brisbane, then, I will arrive Sydney in the afternoon of 12/31.
The hostel price in Sydney is going crazy for those days.
It will be better to avoid live there at all.
After celebrating the new year, I will take a flight at 8:00 pm on 1/1 to Tasmania.
So exciting! right?!
.
6. 1/1~1/21 Tasmania - Helper Exchange

Tasmania Devil~ the shy and cute animal in Tasmania
I will do the helper exchange in Tasmania.
Tasmania is the smallest state in Australia, and it is only twice bigger than Taiwan.
But people said there is the best and significant nauture in Australia.
I think it will be worth to take the 3 more weeks there :P
.
The first helper, I need to be a chef cookign for a family from 1/1 to 1/6.
Then, from 1/6 to 1/16, I will work in a farm, and I need to walk for 8 kms(go and back) to the working place.
There are really interesting to live in these two places.
The first one, the family is a fan of Chinese culture.
I will try my best to show them the Taiwanese one too.
And the second one, the farm is without eletricity, and I need to bring the flash light to there...
How incredible! Ha~ Ha~
.
After 1/16, I will drive to visit Tasmania for 5 days, then go back to Melbourne on 1/21.
When I come back from Melbourne, I will live with one Japanese, Chinese, and Malaysian friends seperately.
My flight to go back to Asia will be on 1/29.
The last week in Melbourne, I will try to keep the last memory of the eight months (in sum) home ~
The last place I visite in this trip will be Singapore~
THEN, my sweet Taiwan! I will come back la !!!
This trip will be the last vacation in my student life.
I have to face the real world in the coming future~
Oh... I really hope I can keep this situation forever, but it is impossible.
Das ist Leben. :)
I can only accept it.
The most important point is that I need to make the trip valuable!!

21.11.08

Ballarat - New Gold Mountain

The typical farm sceen in my mind

Ballarat - Sovereign Hill (Theme park)
Tourists and kids who want to become rich (searching gold in the small drain)

The Role Play for the local elementary school
Chinese region in the theme park
.
After great ocean road, we visited Ballart which is also called New Gold Mountain (新金山).
It can be compared with San Francisco called Old Gold Mountain (舊金山).
However, there is no gold in this two city, and they become another style cities now.
.
The entrance fee for the Sovereign Hill is kindly expensive, it is 30 AUD for students....
But I think it is worth to visit one time.
In Taiwan, we also have the gold museum in Jio Feng(九份), Jing Gua Se(金瓜石) to show the former mining life there.
I think both of these two places having their specialities.
.
In Ballarat, everything is reviving old customs.
You will think you go into the space tunnel to go back to the 19th centuries.
Sellers, houses, and even animals look so convinceable, it just told that: yes, you're in the 19th century!
I thought the kids who can really get a great understanding after series activities.
.
Chinese from Mainland or another regions in the world headed to the hot spots of gold mines hundred years ago.
They build their new home there, and there are also many unfair happening on them.
I think we really need to know the history.
For example, Chinese always need to pay more tax than the others.
And they have to live in a inferior regions too.
It let me remind the report I wrote in the university which is about the foreign Chinese.
We have to always feel contended all the time :)

Great Ocean Road

Geelong - second biggest city in Victoria
I like the wooden sculptures very much~ They're really interesting!!!
Me and lifeguards
English soldiers
Twelve Apostles - the most famous spot in Great Ocean Road Port Cambell - bad food there XD
Vickey and Andrew came from Camberra to Melbourne to visit me.
From their request, I decided to visit Great Ocean Road again.
The Great Ocean road is between Adalede and Melbourne which presents the great view of the coast and nature along the ocean.
For many tourists visiting Australia, it will be one of the TOP 3 popular sites for them.
For me, Taiwan has some really similar places to here, moreover, I think Taiwan is much more beautiful than here in some aspects.
Ha~ Welcome to Taiwan!!!
By the way, Taiwanese who participate the Working & Holiday in Australia are really MUCH.
We met four in the hostel.
They can't find a job recently and try to travel around Australia to be instead.
The unstable weather here makes the farm crops grow really worse.
It makes the lack of the need of the workers.
I have many friends who also have this problem now.
Well~
The world is so small.
One of the four Taiwanese we met is the junior classmate of Eva(Lulu) who is another exchange student in Germany.
Sooooooooo interesiting!!!
Oh... My~
I always come across the cloudy or rainy day when I visited Great Ocean Road.
Maybe they find out I don't like them so much~
Ha!

15.11.08

Flying wheelchair~

Kiji, me, and yuhei
Flinder Square (Kindly like Guggenheim Bilbao for me) - Melbourne
Kiji who is a disable Japanese has already traveled 89 countries now.
Visit his website to get known him more!
.
Two weeks ago, Kiji went to Taiwan have a series speech to arouse the concentration of handicapted facilities.
He has really many exciting experiences and is willing to share with people!
I just read the news about his visit on the Yahoo!Kimo News~
I am really crazy~ I knew that he will visit Australia to be the 89th countries in November.
So, I contacted with him!
As you know, I met him yesterday!!!
He is really brave.
He visited Australia and New Zealand by himself.
And he drove from Adelade to Melbourne on his own too.
He just wants to show everybody, especially for those depressive disable people, he can do the same thing as the normal people.
For me, he acturally did more than normal people.
89 countries... man! what an amazing record!
Oh~ I am so sorry, he is in New Zealand now, so that will be 90 countries now.
.
He is quite smart that he will record and give the countries scores based on many aspects.
He gave Taiwan quite high scores in the disable accesseries!
But the food score was not so~
Ha! After the pressure from me, he said he really feel Taiwan should get "5 (full scores)" in the food.
I really hope he really think in that way~
.
We walked a lot in the city after the Taiwanese meal (there is only ONE Taiwanese restaurant in the city).
Between the meal, he mentioned lots of friends he knew during his trips.
Some of them are quite famous, and I thought it is really great to be that way.
Italy and Madacasca are the best countries he ever visited.
I can totally understand Italy is the best.
Well~ Madacasca will be interesting to let me research on it!
Ha!
.
I can see that he doesn't like Australia at all.
And the food here may only get "1".
(I told myself he felt that before the Taiwanese restaurant~ = =)
However, yesterday is interesting!
Met a new friend, and share many new issues together.
His English is ok, but he talked Japanese with my JP friend more.
He talked to me many times that he felt Taiwanese is sooooo friendly.
He also surprised why we like JP so much. (He also saw the movie - Cope No. 7 )
I tried to tell him in the historical way.
Yes, except Taiwan, it is really hard to find a country, most of citizens feel positive (or favorable) way to JP.
Ha~ Maybe it is one of the key issue to make Cope no. 7 so successful in Taiwan.
.
Wish Kiji will have a peace and wonderful trips in the future!!!

Follow it~
