Here is the beginning

That's right!
I start my next stage of life - working.

Surprisingly, I chose to work in a NPO which offer me lower payment than other capitalism job.
The name of this NPO is Quanta Culture & Education Foundation.
"My" foundation is supported by Quanta Enterprise which is one of the biggest computer company in Taiwan and in the world.

I have worked here for more than 3 weeks now.
I got a feeling that I am learning almost everyday.
All of my colleagues work hard, and that makes me feel I got to pay 100% tension to my job.
That helps.
I am familiar around 50% of the business of the foundation now.

What are we doing?
The foundation is trying to promote and encourage the aesthetics education in Taiwan.
We always sponsor international or Chinese painting exhibition in Taiwan.
Like the Miller's, Van Goah's, Chagall's exhibitions.
Moreover, we also cooperate with the National Palace, National Historical Museum or National Natural Scientific Museum.
Those materials will be re-designed as a manual book to help kids to know those paintings or the philosophy of those painters.
We even paid for the copyright of the duplication pictures to organize dozens of exhibition around the whole Taiwan.
It works pretty good.
We have already made more than 700 schools and 2 millions students to contact with those paintings face by face.

Education is quite amazing job!
When I found out kids watching those paintings and even listening to the introduction, they start to make their own paintings.
Thanks to countless EXCELLENT teachers who help to design different lessens connecting to the exhibitions.
It even makes the achievement of those exhibitions more unbelievable.

Starting from 2009, the big flood in south Taiwan which kills hundreds of people.
How about the survives?
Some of them are students, and they lost everything in the school.
The foundation used many different ways to compensate it!
We donated books, rebuild their library, hold camp of Art Therapy.
It's not enough AT ALL.

60% of my job is trying to support the activities above, moreover, I also need to think WHAT ELSE we can do for the students.
Today is Saturday, and I still need to work.
Well~ I may say it is not working, but it is a way of 'dreams come true.'
We sponsored a really good foundation to promote READING in Taidong which is one of the poorest county in Taiwan.
Another colleague and I just went there with our CEO.
Besides that, we also went to visit an aboriginal elementary school there.
We found out some intelligent kids who may be good at painting or learning.
Anyway, most of them didn't have a complete family, we worried them a lot.
God is not really that cruel.
Those kids got really wonderful teachers.
I am happy that to find out there are so many people trying to save the hopes.
As a foundation, we just gives them some chances!

It's still really sad that to find out those kids who has already suffered so much, and the new challenges are keeping coming!
What I can do now is keeping doing, keeping going and keeping helping!

Oh~ right!
My other 40% of work loading is editing videos for the foundation.
It got a little bit stressful now since it is not only doing for my hobby.
Well~ worth to try~

Let's see!

Winter in Europe

Europe is a place which is always better for tourists to visit here in Summer!
This time, I still come here in winter!

Like the famous Nice situated in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur (translated to "Blue Sea Coast") is one of the best summer spot!
However, it is raining NOW!
Oh... no....
I really hope the weather will be better soon, and my mood can also change to be a sunny day too!

Besides that, I took trains to travel from Italy to France.
And it took me around 9 hours including the waiting time.
It is really funny to travel in Europe by train or bus (or any other transportation tool on the floor) because you will just enter into a different country without any noticing.
Like today, the train to cross the border didn't even appear any sign to say I am in France.
I just found out the exit is changing from Uscita(Italian) to Sortie(French), and then I got the idea that I was in France!
Well! even the weather is shit, I am still better to find some joy for myself!
Keep going!

Italy

Following 澤木耕太郎's route in his noble しんやとっきゅう, I took a ferry from Patra, Greece to Italy few days ago.
I guess the physical situation of the ferry has a huge improvement now!
Ha! The writer had to stay outside of the deck to save the money!
I can't do it in this kind of weather...
(And there is no this kind of option too)
So I chose to stay in the 'dorm'.
Oh! I was so lucky!
It is a LOW SEASON for the ferry business now!
The ferry I took obviously didn't have a dorm formate room so I 'have to' move to the 4 beds cabin room.
And I only got one room mate in the end. :)
On the other hand, I really think if I just finished a bottle of Vodka like what he did before, I may try to jump into the cold water in the end!
Ha! Then I chose to drink a cup of beer with a burger.
Well.. not really good right....
The great weather to take a ferry!
Because I didn't need to help someone to deliver a mail in Rome, I chose to have a trip in North Italy.
And I remembered a Chinese restaurant lady in Florence who told me that The Republic of San Marino is an amazing place!
She recommended me to visit it in my life time!
Here I am!
As she said... this oldest and smallest republic didn't let me down!
Check the photo above!!
It's not a painting! How unreal it is
San Marino
After San Marino, I decided to visit a friend who was also an exchange student in Germany 2 years ago.
The city she stayed is ''Bologna.''
I guess not so many Asian ever visited here!
But this city has the similar background as Venice or Florence in the mid age!
Besides that, this city is also the birth place for many famous food!
The most famous one will be LASAGNE!
That's right!
It is totally from here!
And the very first university in the world is the BOLOGNA UNIVERSITY!
How incredible it is!!
Poisaiden sculpture
Parma ham... oh... Lord... I love it!
The typical Bandigo building in Bologna
Well, it rains a lot recently.
Hope it will stop asap!
I will travel the famous South French city - Nice tomorrow!
No chance to see many Bikini girls in this cold weather!
But please god, at least give me some good sunshine!
Please!
Ha!

Jordan & Israel

約旦 - 每個人一生都該來一次的國家

It's the BEST place I ever been!
Can you imagine how nice people here?
When you walked on the street, you saw some snacks some eats look so delicious.
I asked her where I can buy it.
Guess what, she insisted me to take one (she only got 5 pieces in the whole bag).
As usual, the typical Arabic food is too oilly and sweet.
Doesn't matter!
A police saw that my hand was full of oil.
He ran to me, and he just wanted to give me a tissue.

Yes, some Arabic like to cheat, used to be messy.
But most of them are kind and friendly.
Jordan, is a great country which has enormous history and landscape.
Moreover, they still got groups of nice and super friendly people here!

Wadi Rum, Jordan
Amman, Jordan

Israel - The Holy place

Before I come to Israel, the image of this country is kinda middle-east and rural place here.
I was totally WRONG!
Israel is like a western country in the middle east.
They got Mercedes Benz buses and the same trains.
Never mentioned the clean roads and shiny beaches.
Of course you can still find a sacred atmosphere in Jerusalem or some places around Sea of Galilee.

Jerusalem will be also a place you have to come in your life time.
The old town was seperated into Jewish, Christian, Armenian, and Islam quarters.
No matter the city named "Peace" was already conquered for 38 times.
The life here is still not that big different.
I enjoy the time that I can always find a quiet place in Jerusalem from a noisy street in 2 minutes.
I also feel touched when I saw many religious visitors showing their respect for this place.
Anyone can find a corner for yourself in Jerusalem.

Western Wall, Jerusalem, Israel

Other part of Israel is just like the U.S., maybe it's because it's also a immigrated country in this 100 years.
Jew around the world finally got a chance to come back to their home in 1300 years before.
They work hard and be united to fight the other countries near them.
Maybe they're just trying so hard to prove they can do something BIG or make anything possible.
I can't sense anything special in the cities like Tel Aviv or Haifa.
Their attitude for the whole Arabic world is a little opponent.
Ironically, the Arabic also occupy the 20% population of this country.
Since Arabic family always have more kids, the percentage will be higher in the near future.
The obligation for the young men and women here means they have to go to the army for 3 or 2 years.
For sure it's no need for those Arabic people.
Same weird situation happened in many ways as well.
A country whose official language are Hebrew and Arabic.
But you can always find out most of the ads or signs are only in Hebrew.
However, when you visited some parts of the country, the ruins or heritages are left by Christians, Turks or Arabic.
The Israeli (Jew) seem to ignore that the past 1300 years history of Israel were built by other people but them.

For me, I didn't see any possibility that the real peace will come to this country in the near future.

Time to go to Turkey! MY DREAM COUNTRY
